Made-up challenge accepted!

I just got home from another work party potluck where I gorged on some delicious food...to the point making me feel seriously uncomfortable, and borderline ill.  If you know me, you know that obviously this is not the first time this has happened.  If I'm being honest, it's not even the first time this has happened this week.

I got this Planet Fitness flyer earlier today, and have always said I'd give this US chain a try if there one that opened near me in Canada.  Considering this will be walking distance from my house, it sounded like opportunity knocking at my door.  $10 for an entire month at the gym?

Things I have also spent about $10 on in the last month include...

  • a brick of firecracker cheese (#noregrets)
  • a rawhide bone for my dog that lasted 2 days
  • a box with an inflatable beard, that was actually empty

So needless to say, my standards for what I'll spend $10 on are fairly low.  Being the lazy slacker that I am, it'd probably be pretty easy for me to sign up for a membership that is only $10, and just shrug it off if I don't use it...so I wanted to create a challenge for myself to make sure I was actually putting this membership to good use.  And being the numbers nerd that I am, I wanted to take it one step further.

GOAL: A healthy weight loss of 8 lbs in 30 days (2 lbs/wk) spending no more than $0.38/day for fitness.  $10/mo (plus tax=$11.30) ÷ 30 gym visits = $0.38/day.
